Mental Hospital CDMX

A halfway house is a type of residence that is not the same as a psychiatric hospitalization. The patient will live within the residence, where they will also receive treatment and can participate in various activities that the Margaritas Therapeutic Community has developed.

When a patient is living in a halfway house, all the trained staff help the patient receive continuous and supervised treatment, while also living with other people. They are supervised, but always respecting the individuality and autonomy of each resident.

What is a halfway house?

It is also a phase of the patient's treatment, in which other important aspects for a favorable recovery are addressed. Among the most valuable aspects is that during their stay they will learn knowledge that will help them resume their daily lives, such as specific aspects about their disorder, how to overcome obstacles, improve their quality of life, and avoid anxiety. It serves as a bridge between hospitalization and returning home, which is necessary to prevent the process from becoming more complicated.

In halfway houses, all patients are worked with in various ways, individually and in groups, with the support of multidisciplinary activities such as talks, activities, workshops, therapies, etc., to cope with the changes that psychiatric hospitalization or the addiction rehabilitation process entails, to avoid the tension that returning to daily life can generate, and to reinforce decision-making skills.

If a halfway house is required as part of addiction treatment, the patient will become aware during this stage of the places and social circles that may be a source of risk. They will learn how to avoid them for their rehabilitation and greater safety.

The length of a patient's stay will depend on what is indicated; it may be for a period of 90 days or they may require more time to readjust. This will be determined by the specialist, as well as the initial recommendation to be in a halfway house and the time when they can leave. In some cases, halfway houses can also be a rehabilitation alternative for people with addictions who have repeatedly relapsed, preventing them from fully recovering, or for those who cannot be fully rehabilitated because their social or family environment does not allow it.

Why choose a halfway house?

Sometimes, due to medical advice, psychiatric patients no longer need to remain in a permanent institution or inpatient facility, but they must continue with treatment and do not yet feel comfortable returning home and resuming their daily activities.

It is not a matter of complete isolation, since the goal is to gradually introduce social interaction, so visits and calls with family members are permitted. The halfway houses at Comunidad Terapéutica Margaritas have highly trained, respectful, formal, and professional staff to support the treatment and progress of patients so that they can gradually and under supervision reintegrate into their lives.

If you would like more information about our halfway houses, we invite you to contact us to learn more about our work, costs, and the multidisciplinary team that supports patients at all times. We offer local, national, and international transportation services.

The Mexico City Psychiatric Hospital Naples office and car insurance. The Mexico City Psychiatric Hospital Naples office recommends never signing a car insurance application before filling it out and verifying the information. Having car insurance is no longer a luxury, but a necessity. Mexico City Psychiatric Hospital Mixcoac recommends it, as it avoids unforeseen expenses in the event of an accident; depending on the coverage, these policies protect individuals so they don't have problems regarding theft or damage to their car. Mexico City Psychiatric Hospital Mexico | Before purchasing car insurance with any company, it's essential to compare policies to choose the one that best suits your needs and budget. The most common coverages in these types of products are: legal assistance, property damage, medical expenses, total vehicle theft, and civil liability, the latter being mandatory in Mexico City since 2016. To compare and choose car insurance that meets your individual needs, the National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Financial Services Users (CONDUSE) has developed a car insurance simulator. With this tool, you can explore the options available to protect your vehicle, as well as the different coverages. You can visit the car insurance simulator page. Basic car insurance offers protection against civil liability for damages to third parties and property, up to 250,000 pesos. The Polanco Psychiatric Hospital in Mexico City recommends that when contracting insurance, you do not provide false personal information, as it may become invalid, and that you do not sign an application before filling it out and verifying that the data on it is correct.
